Whales Point is a luxury condominium-hotel project with forty-eight (48) luxury villas on the Gold Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii.
Each villa includes three (3) and four (4) Suites within the 1,092 acre development in the Villages. The Villages make up a golf resort community overlooking the Pacific Ocean amid the high end resort area of the Big Island. Due to the growing demand for weekly luxury villas, the Project is selling the villas fully furnished to service the vacation rental market. Mission Hills, a Hong Kong-based group with renowned resorts around the world, will then manage the vacation rental program and provide the personal services that go above and beyond what one would expect.
These villas are condotels, or hybrid properties that combine certain condo type features with hotel amenities. Owners of villas own their unit and can use them for personal use, but when they are not using them the villas essentially convert to hotel rooms. The Project will be operated by Mission Hills along with their golf course and boutique hotel and lodge. Condotels are not timeshares. With many timeshares, buyers purchase the ability to stay at a resort for a certain amount of time at certain times of the year. Buyers are, in essence, paying for their vacation stays in advance. With a condotel property, buyers are actually purchasing a piece of real estate. The bottom line is that condotel buyers own a real piece of property.
This luxury “aloha” experience will include a butler, maid service, spa, swimming pool, golf, and access to everything the Big Island has to offer.
